How it works
How to scan a document with your phone or webcam
Press Use camera to scan with your phone or webcam, or Upload photos you've already taken. For the best result, lay the page flat on a darker surface in even light.
The scanner finds the page automatically. Drag the four corners to fine-tune, rotate if needed and choose a look: Colour, Greyscale or Black & white for crisp, shadow-free text.
Add more pages, reorder or delete them, then choose a page size and press Download PDF. You can also save any single page as a JPG.
Private by design
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type, upload or scan is sent to us.
FAQ
Common questions
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. Photos are processed in your browser on your own device and are never sent to us or anyone else. Close the page and they're gone.
Why does my browser ask for camera permission?
To show the live camera inside the page. The video never leaves your device. If you'd rather not allow it, use Upload photos (or Take a photo on a phone) instead.
Can it read the text (OCR)?
Not yet. The scanner creates image-based PDFs, which are ideal for sharing, printing and archiving. Text recognition is planned for a future update.
How do I get the best scan?
Use a darker background so the page edges are clear, avoid harsh shadows, hold the camera above the page and use Black & white for text-only documents.
